Red Mango: Frozen Treat, Good to Eat! Comment to Win a Gift Card!

Red Mango: Frozen Treat, Good to Eat! Comment to Win a Gift Card!

Almost everyone was eager for the opening of the Red Mango in Skokie. When it did open, it was sure to please. It is located near the Subway and Panda Express on Dempster and Lockwood. Since it’s self-serve, you can fill up your cup as much as you want; the price is based off of weight. With eight yogurt flavors, plus all of the smoothies and coffee, this place is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth without killing your wallet.

Smoothies:

  • Strawberry Banana: my personal favorite.
  • Mixed Berry: filled with strawberries, blueberries, and seasonal berries.
  • Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter: topped off with granola.

Frozen Yogurt Flavors:

  • The Original: their award winning, authentic, non-fat yogurt.
  • Pomegranate: sweet and tangy.
  • Milk Chocolate: smooth and sweet. (Great with pomegranate)
  • Pumpkin Spice: it’s seasonal with graham cracker bits mixed in.
  • Tangomonium: a sweet citrus medley.
  • Peanut Butter: rich and nutty. (Pair with milk chocolate)
  • Raspberry: sweet and juicy.
  • Vanilla Cookie Cream: tastes just like cookies and cream ice cream, but better.
If the eight flavors aren’t enough for you, the seasonal flavors change monthly. The first time I went, I had Tangomonium, and it is by far my favorite. As good as it is, it’s always better with the toppings. There’s a variety of candy, including chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, crushed Butterfingers, and gummy bears, just to name a few. If you’re not in the mood for candy, there’s plenty of fruit to spice up your yogurt, like pineapples, strawberries, bananas (upon request,) kiwi, mango, and many more. Don’t forget to top it all of with whipped cream!

i have to say my favorite combo is the Original yogurt and pomegranate with fruits, mochi, and jelly poppers. You can’t get the mochi and the jelly poppers at the Skokie red mango since its kosher!

I love Red Mango! I love how it’s very close and how you can gather a group of friends to just socialize while having some frozen treat! My favorite treat might have to be Tangomonium with white chocolate chips, strawberries, and granola. Yum!

I’ve never been to red mango, but generally my favorite toppings are different fruit (rasberries esp.). And I like classic vanilla flavor.
