The Master Jedi Sci-Fi club plans to hold a Jamba Juice fundraiser at Niles West Thursday, Feb 14.
Members will be selling a variety of flavors for $4 during lunch periods.
John Hasemeyer, sponsor of the Master Jedi Sci-Fi club, said the purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for the club.
“We are raising money to support our many club activities, including attending the C2E2 comic book convention and to purchase lightsabres for our members to practice improve our dueling training,” he said. “We also film movies and the funds help with equipment, costumes, and production,” Hasemeyer said.
Senior Faris Karaman, the club president, shares the importance of Master Jedi Sci-Fi club.
“This [club] is a society that I created where we [members] are free from harm for our love of science fiction. We are able to make friends with people we may have never even met,” Karaman said.
