Niles West’s fifth annual school ID design contest invites students to submit designs for the 2013-2014 school ID that embodies Niles West’s theme while also incorporating the school colors.
The winning design will replace this year’s current design on student ID cards. The winner of the contest will be allowed to have a pizza party in any class within their schedule. All submissions must be turned in to the security office in room 1117 by Friday, March 29.
Students say there are some changes they’d like to see to next year’s ID.
“I wouldn’t want another ID that’s mostly white,” junior Mona Ng said. “I’d like more color. I think this year’s design that we have now is better than last year’s Big Red design because the old one looked pixelated. I think we should have the barcode aligned with the style of the card. You should be able to swipe the same way the card [is orientated].”
