It’s that time of year again!
Lineups to various music festivals such as Country Thunder and Lollapalooza are being announced left and right; just another reminder that summer and all of its glorious nights full of music and good vibes are just around the corner.
Another thing that’s just around the corner, though, is the highlight of my summer.
That’s right, Warped Tour 2013 has finally arrived.
On July 20th, First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre will come alive with great vocals, impressive guitar solos, and thousands of screaming fans all running around in the summer heat to make it to see their favorite bands perform live.
Because of the great lineup, it’s guaranteed that there will be a lot of running to make it to see all the bands, too. I like to refer to this year as the “Throwback Year.”
While last year’s Warped Tour lineup consisted of newer, more up and coming, popular bands, this year seems to be focusing on what we all used to listen to in our angsty 7th-8th grade years (or maybe that was just me).
Among a few of the talented heartthrobs will be 3OH!3, Allstar Weekend, Anarbor, August Burns Red, Black Veil Brides, blessthefall, Bowling for Soup, Bring Me The Horizon, Crown the Empire, Falling In Reverse, Forever The Sickest Kids, Go Radio, Hands Like Houses, Hawthorne Heights, I See Stars, Issues, letlive., Like Moths To Flames, Man Overboard, Memphis May Fire, Never Shout Never, Relient K, Silverstein, Sleeping With Sirens, Story of the Year, The Amity Affliction, The Summer Set, The Used, Tonight Alive, VersaEmerge, and We Came As Romans.
And those are just the bands that I listen to.
For those of you who have never been to Warped Tour and don’t know how it works, the first thing that I have to say to you is go. Just go. It’s full of good vibes, super fun people, great music, and plenty of Vitamin D. What more could you possibly ask for on a summer day?
The second thing is that there’s always something to do, so being bored is practically impossible. Warped isn’t just any old concert with one stage where you have to wait 20 minutes for the next act; there are several different stages that a band is constantly playing on.
For those of you who are thinking, “Oh my gosh, why would I go to Warped Tour? It’s full of weird, emo people screaming stupid, depressing lyrics.” Well, you’re missing out, and you clearly don’t know the world of rock and roll as well as the stereotypes tell you you do.
Rock concerts are so much more than that. The people you meet at concerts are among the most entertaining, welcoming, fun people you’ll ever meet in your life. Everyone’s there for the same reason: to listen to some awesome music and have an even more awesome time. In a way, we’re all bonded, which is what makes the experience so great.

I would absolutely love to see The Wonder Years, Sleeping With Sirens, NeverShoutNever, Bring Me The Horizon, The Story So Far and about anyone else I can see. Music has guided me in every tough situation I’ve been in, and I just love the over all feeling of being able to feel surrounded by hundreds of people who share the same music tastes and who can relate to how I feel or how I’ve felt before. Home is where the heart is, and music is my home. I would be ecstatic if I could win these tickets.

My favorite band is Sleeping with Sirens and they have come out with a new album. It’s different from what they did in the past but I still support them. I haven’t been to a concert in about the year because the last one I went to was last years warped tour.
It was my first time going and it was amazing. I didn’t even care that I got separated from my friends, a massive headache, and a sunburn that looked tike a tiger pattern. I would love to again this year with free tickets since I have to save money up for my next semester in college. Financial aid is killing me here. Help me out! Please and thank you 🙂

When i listen to music, every bad thing that happened in my day fades away. It’s like my medicine. Sleeping with Sirens are my idol. Every song they played had in someway connected to my life. Trophy Son for a Trophy father, especially hits to home. I wish i knew what it was like to have a father. I’m in love with We Came As Romans, The Used, Memphis Mayfire, & Man Overboard. I’ve never been to a concert, & if i were to get these tickets, I could actually say my life is complete. My birthday is coming up, & it would be an amazing birthday present. I hangout with these amazing people who always brag about seeing my favorite bands, and i wanna have the oppurtunity to say, “Hey, I’ve seen so & so live”. I come from a family that doesnt have a lot of money. I really hope that i can win these tickets.

I love Warped Tour so much. I’ve gone for the past 2 years, but last year, my date got rained out and I was unable to see any shows. So, this year I’m hoping for a much better experence. I want to go see the show with my boyfriend. We’ve been dating for 8 months, but have only gotten to see each other one time because he lives in Ohio, and I live in PA. Getting these tickets would help so much, that way I could use what money I have on paying for gas and a hotel. Not having to pay for tickets would help SO much. This line up is one of the best ones that I’ve ever seen, and getting tickets to go see it with a person whom I love would mean the world to me. I really want to see Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse at Warped Tour because I have never been to a Warped Tour concert before and it became my goal to go this Summer. Ever since I discovered Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse I fell in love with their music. I can related to their lyrics a lot and I’ve always wanted to meet them and see them in concert.

So I was bullied from 4-9 grade. My sophomore year I made my fist best friend and she introduced me to the post core music. It was instant love. My jr year I became extremely sad and attempted suicide. Soon after that failed attempt I herd “if I’m James Dean your Audrey Hepburn” by Sleeping With Sirens. It was instant love. SWS has helped me so much in getting better. I don’t openly love many bands but I do love Sleeping With Sirens for helping me so much. They honestly saved my life with there music. I can’t afford tickets to go see them. I would Love and appreciate it so much if I had the opportunity to go see them live, and thank them in person for saving my life, and having there music be there or me when I needed it most.

I really love each of these bands, they’re so good, and it would be the chance of a lifetime to actually see them live.
I don’t get the opportunity to see bands live, due to finances and location, but, seeing them would make my year.
Warped Tour is literally the coolest thing ever for a person like me!

I’m wanting to see Chiodos and Hawthorne Heights SOOO bad. I’ve been in love with these bands since I was 16. I’m 24 now and want to share the amazing experience of warped tour with my husband who has never been. We had tickets to go one year but he was in the military and got deployed 🙁 But hopefully this year is THE year!!!

I am dying to see Black veil brides!!!! I love there music so much. I used to only like pop music and thought any other music was “wierd” like any other kid. But once I heard them I realized how good other types of music is. It would be amazing if I could go because I’m still finding out wht type of music and bands I like. The warped tour would be a great experience

I would LOVE to see Falling in Reverse. They were the first band that I’ve ever heard, and I feel in love right when I heard them. I’ve been dying to see them ever since and it would mean a lot to see them. They helped me when I was feeling down with their meaningful lyrics and if I got to see them live, it would mean to world to me. I hope I win the the chance to see them. 🙂

I would love to go to Warped Tour to go see Sleeping With Sirens, Never Shout Never, Bring Me The Horizon, blessthefall, and We Came As Romans. Because my family doesn’t have very much money, and the only way I would actually get to go is if I won tickets. But I would love to go to Warped Tour to see these bands, is because when I was going through a really rough time with my dad going to jail, my cousin killing himself, and dealing with depression and self-harm. Their music really helped me through all of it, and they’re basically the reason I am alive today. It would make my whole entire life if I could have the opportunity to see all of them live, get pictures with them, get their autographs, and just be able to go. So that is why I would really love to go to Warped Tour and to win this ticket. c:

Go Radio, Sleeping with Sirens, Tonight Alive, Issues? It’s one of the best lineups for Warped I’ve seen! I cannot wait!! 😀 I want to one day be where those phenomenal artists are, playing on a stage at Warped. I really want to see Never shout never this year. It was my first band I had discovered on my own in 2009 and I have adored them ever since. I have always wanted to see them but I couldn’t afford it and when I could they weren’t touring in my state and now that they are I am hoping I will finally get the chance to see them play this summer. It would mean alot.

I use to listen to the falling in reverse and then seen black veil brides and the song called knives and pens and I have been freaking out about them they are the best band known to man kind and I have been bin begging for tickets to go see them but I can’t get the tickets and I would absolutely love to win the tickets you would be able to spot me a mile away with my gothic look and my combat boots with the spikes on them please I need to see them they are the most amazing band I have every song of there’s and know every lyric to their songs

They’re one of my favorite bands and for as long as I can remeber I’ve listened to them, I grew up with thm since my so sister would play them all the time when I was small. Hot summer’s air. Hats to hide unkept hair. The grounds of the Ventura County fair. This is my Warped Tour. It is an experience unlike any other. It’s an energy that the youth are destined to create. A sense of complete freedom from the shackles of judgments. Bands. Artists. People. We gather for one glorious day out of the the 365 in the year. I want to see these groups that I constantly listen to. I want to feel their life transform into a glow that looks like a sunburn, but feels like perfection. Handguns. Go Radio. Bowling for Soup. The Early November. New Beat Fund. Never Shout Never. William Beckett. Motion City Soundtrack. I love them for many reasons, but the most important.. they let provide the soundtrack to the many subsections in my life where my mind and body is free from the restrictions of reality.

Well I really want to see Bring Me the Horizon again. I haven’t seen them since 2008 and I really love them and would love to meet and see them again. Warped tour is possibly my favorite concert of the year and I I just don’t have the $50 for a ticket to Milwaukee warped. Warped is the best day of the year and the atmosphere of the shows and day all around are a happy amazing time with thousands of other fans and people who love the music as much as you do. It would mean the world to me.

Usually i cant go to warped tour because of school stuff and it being difficult to get out of this is the first year i wont have school stuff and am dieing to go it would be so much fun to see the bands that make me laugh when i listen to their music or make me just get the need to dance nevershoutnever was a huge inspiration to me to start learning new instruments and now i’m up to 16 different ones maybe i will win and get to see my inspiration

I have honestly never been to a concert and don’t have that much money to be able to go to a concert and my mom was going to slip me $40 or so to go to warped tour with a friend last year but I didn’t want to because my mom wouldn’t be there jamming her head right next to me and because black veil brides wasn’t there that year and that is why I want to go to warped tour so badly, and that would be the first concert(s) that I have ever gone to, as a matter of fact my friend just bought me tickets to go see Blood on the dance floor in september…but I have been promised to get warped tour tickets from family cause they know im there little rocker chick but I never got them for some reason…and if I win these tickets I will run around my house screaming like I just won the power bowl haha…I love Black veil brides, falling in reverse, never shout never, sleeping with sirens, and a bunch more that I listen to all of the time on 93X, Pandora, youtube, and Iheartradio and I love them so much EKKkkkksss I love music -_- I REALLY WANT TO GO!

I’d really like to see Sleeping With Sirens <3 They're my all time favorite band, and they're head-lining this year 😀 The only thing is, I don't have the money for a ticket at all… We're about to lose our house, and my mom just got diagnosed with diabetes and high-blood pressure. She almost died, and still has a high chance that she could die. If I won a ticket for Vans Warped Tour, it'd mean the world to me \O/ It's an honor to have the opportunity to be able to have a chance at winning a ticket, even if I don't win that's still okay.

I want to see Relient K because their music has spoken to me since they first became viral in the Midwest with their hit “Be My Escape” since then I have continued to love their music and pass their talent to other people. I’m excited to see one of my top 5 bands of all time and feel the music that has influenced me for almost a decade!

I would love to see all the band. personally I would just like to go to see some of my favorite band such as, Black Veil Brides, The Summer Set, Silverstein, 3Oh!3, Allstar Weekend, Tonight Alive, Issues, Never Shout Never, Sleeping with Sirens, blassthefall, Falling In Reverse, and I cant quite remember if May Day Parade is coming or not , but I would love to see them. I’ve never been to anything close to Warped, not even a regular concert! I’m a huge band lover, they’re my life & all I listen to 24/7! One of those bands, is Sleeping With Sirens. They’re perfection. They’re also the first rock band I first listened to. The first song I’ve heard from them is ‘If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn’ which was recommended by my boyfriend & is currently -our- song. So, I’m in love with them, for their creation of such strong, passionate & perfect songs. It would be the greatest experience in my life to go see my favorite band live for the first time. A day I won’t ever forget.

Warped Tour 2011 was the first time I went, & let me tell you I had the time of my life, the sun burn was so worth it, It was fun, good music scratch that AMAZING music fun tents, cool meet and greets. It is totally worth it!

I feel like I know them personally, also. Like, I don’t come from a broken family, and I don’t cut, (But I have been so close many times, but I just listen to their music and now here I am, scarless.) but I feel like I can relate to every word they say.
They’ve saved me. I want to thank them in person, but I’m afraid I’m never going to meet them in person. I want to go to this concert so bad, but my family doesn’t have any money to let me go to a concert… 🙁 I’m trying to save up, but there’s no way I’m going to have enough money by July 21st… :/

I heard they put on an amazing show and I’d love to experience it before i have to go under the knife.

I want to see Forever the Sickest Kids! I went to a show where I wanted to see the opening band and I left after that band played, before FTSK came on. I didn’t think I’d regret it until a year or so later when I saw FTSK headlining. I regret leaving the first concert early and want a chance to make up that loss!

I would love to see Black Veil Brides! I found out about them, and than i fell in love with all the other bands that I like! I’ve never been to Warped Tour, and if i won tickets, this would be my first year! I’ve seen videos and stuff about Warped Tour on how much fun it is. I am very excited to see I see Stars again. I have seen them four times already and every show has been amazing. They have so much energy on stage and the music pumps up the whole crowd. I am also very excited to see We Came as Romans who is one of my favorite bands on the tour. The Used and Silverstein are also amazing bands and I am so excited that they are still touring after so many years. I have been to Warped Tour every year since 2004 and would love to keep attending the event each year for as long as possible!

I want to see Memphis Mayfire, We Came as Romans, Never Shout Never, Bring Me The Horizon, Crown The Empire, Issues, Sleeping With Sirens and Anarbor! I’ve misses out on Memphis Mayfire last year and I really want to see them as well as Never Shout Never never seems to come here nor Bring Me The Horizon. I’m to excited!!!!!

i have been obsessing about always wanting to go to warped tour. It’s been 3years and i still havent gone.. My parents said when i get the money to pay for my own ticket and am able to get there by myself they’ll let me go. the problem with that, is that im only 14, ill be 15 this month. i have no clue how i would even be able to do all that since no one is hiring here. i watched warped tour videos on youtube (Sleeping with sirens, pierce the veil, august burns red, never shout never) and i cryed knowing that i would never be able to go see them live. ive never in my whole life been to a concert and i pray to god that one day i will go to Vans Warped Tour. this experience would be soooooo life changing for me. The warped tour for dallas, Tx is on August 2 and i would absolutely absolutely be thrilled to go. My parents never let me celebrate my brithday so this would be like an amazing first birthday experience!!! please please please god let me win these tickets, ill pray every night if i have to. I love to see chiodos! Because there music brings back memories since I was a kid and there lyrics are inspirational and amazing and it would be an honor to win a ticket to warped tour 2013 because they will be there and that will just make my whole year up.

Okay, so I’m not quite sure what to say here, but all in all, I’d love to go to Warped. I’ve been trying to save the money for months now but haven’t been able to because of bills. Hours are being cut and we can’t afford the tickets, but it would mean everything to me to just get to go and see Black Veil Brides. Andrew Dennis Biersack is my idol and I’d do anything to simply see him live, but I can’t do it alone. It would mean the world to me if you could help.

I know it says that the contest ends May 20th which was the other day, so I don’t know if you have picked a winner yet. I would love to win a pair of tickets or even just a ticket since I’ve never won anything before. I’ve been going since 2006 and I’ve always bought them until this year they’re not coming to Montreal. I want to make it to the Toronto show bad but I don’t really have anyone to commit in going the distance. It would really make my summer since it’s always one thing that I always look forward to ever summer. If I don’t go than I have nothing to look forward too. I’m dying a little on the inside each day that it gets closer because some of my favorites are playing and it’s just hurts me that I most likely wont be there like I would love too.

I really want to see Allstar Weekend, Forever The Sickest Kids, Go Radio, Never Shout Never, and most importantly, The Summer Set. I love these guys so much, because they’re lyrics are more than just “oh, she broke up with me. I’m going to sing a song about them now..”, their lyrics are real, and i can relate to them. especially The Summer Set, when they released their song – Jukebox (Life goes on), I realized how life really does move on, and yes, everything seems like it’s all crashing down on me, but “life goes on, and we got all night, If you got rock and roll, you’re going to be all right.”
Also, it would mean the world to me if i could just meet and connect with the bands – I’ve never got to meet Brian Logan Dale, but everyone keeps telling me how nice he is, and how down to earth he is, so it would be amazing if i could get the chance to meet them.

I have always wanted to go to warped but i never had the money but since issues, we came as romans, the used and alot more bands i love are coming i am dedicated to go!i also love learning new bands and expanding my musical tastes.also, Ive been going through alot recently and warped tour would definately lift me up.Hopefully I will win and i will finally get to go!

On Warped Tour 2013, I would love to see August Burns Red because they were one of the first bands to get me into the music I am into today. I want to see Blessthefall because their music has kept my bestfriend from cutting herself. She’s been 3 months clean since yesterday (5/17/13). I want to see Bring Me The Horizon because I love their music and Oli took their music in a different direction that I’m completely in love with. I want to see Issues because they are new onto the music scene and they have started off well. I’ve been a fan since I saw their CD at Hot Topic. I want to see We Came As Romans because their music speaks to me, and it’s their music that can get anyone out of the dumps and feel better. There are so many bands this year that I am dying to see, and getting to see them would be a life changing experience.

This year at the Vans Warped Tour, I would like to see 3OH!3, Black Veil Brides, Falling In Reverse, Hands Like Houses, Hawthorne Heights, Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, Story of the Year, The Amity Affliction, and New Years Day. This is going to be my third year going to the Vans Warped Tour. I’ve seen all these bands perform before but I would like to see them again. Many of their songs and lyrics are just something I can relate too. Music is everything to me, and I can honestly say that music has saved my life. The Vans Warped Tour to me, is not just about only seeing my favorite bands, but is also about hearing and listening to the other bands as well. All the bands that perform and try to get themselves out there need the recongization. The Vans Warped Tour to me is about supporting all the bands there, and showing them some love, not just fan girling over the bands I already know. The Vans Warped Tour gives me the chance to listen to new music, meet different bands, and also make some new friends who enjoy the same music as me.

I would love to see 3OH!3, Allstar Weekend, and Bowling for Soup. I’ve always wanted to go to Warped but never could really afford the tickets. I would love to experience this huge musical event. I would love to see these bands because their songs are what get me through rough days. Whenever I am feeling down, I just plug in my headphones and listen to their music. I would really appreciate this experience and cherish it forever. Also, these bands have gone against norms, in a way. They do their own thing and don’t care what the norms say. They write lyrics from the heart and hope that others can connect to these lyrics; they hope the lyrics and music can speak out and reach out to the listeners. Hopefully I get the tickets to go see all these amazing bands! Fingers crossed!! 🙂

I have been obsessed with Warped Tour since I was 13. Unfortunately, I have never gone because of different situations. This year I want to go so bad to see one of my favorite bands, Bring Me The Horizon! I have been a dedicated listener for 4 years now. I love them so much because of their lyrics. Their songs have definitely helped me through times where I’ve been depressed and their songs would comfort me. Let’s not forget that a bunch of other amazing bands are going too!

I’ve been trying to go to the vans warped tour since 09 to see and support this kinda new band VersaEmerge, but due to school or work and now money I haven’t been able to do it. VersaEmerge impressed me since the first time I heard them, from then till today they have turned their music style completely around yet they still manage to be great. They’re not scared to take that kind of risks, and that’s the main reason I love them, plus they have a great vocalist, and most of their songs are lyricaly amazing. I’m really looking forward to see what they got live. Thanks 😉

I love a lot of the bands but I most want to see Allstar Weekend! I’ve listened to them since freshman year of high school and now I’m a senior who just graduated. This is their last tour under that name and it would really mean a lot to see one more AW set. I’ve never been to Warped before but this year I really want to go and a few of my friends are going. 🙂

I would love to see The Used and Silverstein!! I discovered their music a couple of years ago and was obsessed! I love their music because they tell stories; yes they may scream sometimes, but their lyrics paint a picture for me. Also, I feel like I can relate to a lot of what they sing about. I’ve never been to one of their concerts and I’ve only been to one concert in my life- My Chemical Romance freshman year. I’ve also never been to Warped Tour and have wanted to go but never gotten tickets. So, hopefully I will win and have the chance to see them! 🙂
