The boys’ water polo team traveled to Glenbrook North for the IHSA Sectional to play against the Maine South Hawks Thursday, May 9. The boys played their hardest, but in the end the Hawks won with a score of 8-7, ending the Wolves’ season.
“We played great but lost by one. Unfortunately the season is over,” head coach John Przekota via email said.
Senior Max Romanelli played well in the game, scoring five of the seven goals, and sophomore Matt Lefler also played well.
“I think that if we had different referees, we would have won the game,” junior Maaz Shah said.
