Current Niles West gym teacher and former Lady Choctaw, Becky Tuecke was inducted into the sports hall of fame for her Alma Mater, Mississippi College in a ceremony held late last month.

Tuecke (who graduated from West in 1982 and Mississippi College in 1986) played softball all four years of her college career,  as well as basketball (for two years), and volleyball (one year). During her time as a Lady Choctaw, Tuecke was the four-year captain of her softball team, won team MVP all four years, and also won a conference player of the year award.

When asked about the ceremony, Tuecke said, “[it was] overwhelming, walking into the room it hit me, it was a beautiful ceremony.”
