Homecoming Guest Slips Due Friday

With homecoming just around the corner, here’s another reminder for a very important date: the homecoming guest slip deadline is approaching.

Many of you have a friend or a special someone from other schools that are just dying to go to the West’s annual homecoming dance. In order to do so, though, remember to turn in your slips to Student Activities no later than Friday, Sept. 22 at 3:30 p.m.

Student activities director Katie Odell sent out several emails in the past few weeks containing the form that needs to be completed.

“People better start getting on it today because it is a whole process that might take a day or two. The last few years we had students who tried to turn in the slips late, so make sure you turn them in on time,” Odell said.

Non-West guests cannot be older than 20, and all parts of the form must be filled out to be valid.

“I gave my friend from GBS the non-west guest form for homecoming and she is super excited about coming,” senior Lisa Jahjah said. “She filled it out, but I still have to take it to Ms. Odell.”

Remember to turn in your slips in order to bring your guest. Imagine how tragic it would be if they missed the dance just because you forgot the date. Happy homecoming.
