The 2017-2018 annual homecoming dance will be held in two weeks, on Oct. 7 from 7:30 p.m-10:30 p.m. Tickets will be going on sale for West students and their guests this Friday, Sept. 29th. Students will need to bring their ID to buy a ticket, as they will need it to attend the dance.

Student activities director Katie Odell advises students to buy tickets this Friday, as they will be selling for $17, as opposed to $20 next week, and $30 at the door.

“You need your ID because you’ll need it for the door as well. Something new we’re doing this year is that it’s a dollar for coat check. North did it last year to raise money for Dance Marathon, so we’re trying it out this year. Ticket sales start Friday, so don’t wait to buy your ticket.” Odell said.

The spirit days this year will include: College Day (Monday), Beach Day (Tuesday), Glitter and Gold (Wednesday), USA Day (Thursday), and Red and White Day (Friday).

Other important events this homecoming season will be held throughout the week of homecoming, including a DJ in the cafeteria during lunch periods, Powder Puff football, Homecoming Float Building, Pep Assembly, and the homecoming football game against Evanston at 7:00 p.m. Song requests can be made here.
