Making up the Cold Days and Snow Day
Feb 7, 2019
Previously marked as a Teacher Institute Day, Friday, March 1st will now be a student attendance day to make up for the three days that Niles West has had to close. This regular attendance day is being put in place to stay in compliance with the State of Illinois School Code that requires 176 days of attendance.
School was cancelled on Nov. 26th due to poor weather and power outages and Jan. 30th and 31st due to extremely cold weather. Currently, only the one day will need to be made up to prevent shifting the final schedule. However, moving forward, any additional school cancellations will be added to the end of the year, and the final exam schedule will be shifted.
