Junior Mubashir Siddiqui was not expecting to be $100,000 richer when he reposted YouTuber Mr. Beast‘s giveaway post on his story. “I made the story and whispered to myself, ‘you miss 100% of the shot you don’t take,’ and posted it,” Siddiqui said. On October 29, he found out that he was the lucky winner of Mr. Beast’s Playback Bone Giveaway.

“‘I actually won.’ Then it really hit me and I was like, ‘I won 100,000!’ and FaceTimed all of my friends,” Siddiqui said.

Siddiqui’s friends have great things to say about him. “Mubashir’s a really funny and interesting guy. There’s always something ridiculous happening to him and he has a new story to tell every week. You never know what to expect from him and I mean that with 100% sincerity,” junior Miki Canak said.

Siddiqui has always surprised his friends with new experiences, stories, and ideas.

“You never really know what Mubashir is up to. He always has some crazy thing going on in his life, and every time you think he’s peaked, he always outdoes himself,” junior Lucas Ashorian said.

With his newfound fortune, Siddiqui plans to use the money wisely. He wants to use it for college and invest, but also treat himself from time to time.  Siddiqui has been watching Mr. Beast since before the giveaway, starting around the seventh grade. Mr. Beast, PewDiePie and KSI are Siddiqui’s favorite YouTubers, and he loves spending time watching their videos as well as making his own.

Siddiqui has been uploading videos to his YouTube account since his sophomore year of high school. “[My] friends and I just kind of thought [of] things that would be funny and then posted a video,” Siddiqui said.

YouTube has been his favorite hobby. His channel, Boeshi, consists of a variety of videos including skits, edits, gaming, and collabs with his friends. To Siddiqui, it’s a creative pastime that allows him to express himself and have fun.

“[My favorite part about YouTube is] the audience and me getting to show what I was able to create,” Siddiqui said.

Siddiqui aims to upload one video every week to his channel. Depending on the video, editing can take a few days of constant editing to perfect, but other lighter edits can be finished within a few hours. In his edits, he creates thumbnails for the videos, sound and lighting effects, and much more. He plans to continue to release videos as often as he can, continuing his journey as a YouTuber and now a giveaway winner.
