The weather is getting warmer and the sun is finally making an appearance — now is the perfect time to participate in activities you’ve been wanting to do. With spring break coming up, here are five things to look forward to.

1. Ride a bike- Although riding a bike may seem like a boring activity, it is actually a lot of fun when the weather is just right. It is also super relaxing, and you can just pop in some headphones and pretend like you’re in a movie. If you don’t want to ride your bike alone, you can always invite your friends to tag along and maybe go to the park. The breeze through your hair and the sun shining at you is just a vibe in itself. Even if it is raining, it would be amazing to just take a ride and admire your surroundings.

2. Go to the movies- With break just around the corner, now is the opportunity to go to the movies. When you have nothing else planned, going to the movies is always a solid Plan B. You can also grab a bite to eat afterward and just end the day at that. Going to the movies is also so much fun to do at night, so just keep that in mind if you’re trying to decide what to do during the break.

3. Have a picnic at the park- Nothing can ever go wrong with a picnic — you can either take Instagram-worthy pictures or just have a low-key dine-in. Not only that, but you can bring your favorite board game and just play that amongst your friends, keep up with what’s going on in each other’s lives, or you can play some soccer or any other kind of sport. The possibilities are endless, and that’s what makes it so fun.

4. Go to a bookstore- If you’re into books, going to the bookstore would be a perfect way to spend your break. You can even bring some friends along and just rave about how much you love or hate the book. In addition, you can always do some fun activities afterward, like getting some boba or sitting at a cafe with your book listening to music. You and your friends can even get the same book and just read them together. Who knows — maybe you’ll call each other up and just analyze the book together.

5. Go downtown- Bring a couple of friends and just take a stroll around downtown. There are many things to do like shop, eat, and even visit Millennium Park. You can also take pictures and post them on your feed. And if you don’t have a car, you can always take the train and listen to some music on the way.

Regardless of what you choose to do this spring, make sure to take some time off and take a breather. If you have spare time, try one of these activities to have some fun!
