You’ll Feel Good After Getting Soul Good Coffee

This past weekend, I went to this food truck called Soul Good Coffee. Going into this, I just thought that it was going to be a variety of coffee, which is a drink I am not a fan of. Once I got there, though, it was a lot more diverse and different than what I thought it was going to be.

After only starting this week, this business already seems like it is set up well for the future — they are planning on going to the Skokie Farmer’s Market in May. I knew going into this I had to try the coffee, so I had to prepare myself the whole time. I was more nervous to try coffee than to ask if I could take a picture of their food truck. While I may not be a coffee guy, my mother loves coffee. She took one sip and it seemed like there were explosions of flavors in her mouth.

I ordered the mint green tea, and I personally enjoyed it a lot. There was a taste in the tea I’ve never had before. It was something different, but was still very good. Along with my drink, I also bought three flavored homemade Pop-tarts — they had Strawberry, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Oreo. My favorite was the Strawberry because it almost tasted like store-bought pop tarts.

The whole brand of the food truck is about giving back to various non-profit organizations. For example, they were supporting the Niles Township Food Pantry this week. Soul Good will be collecting toiletries through June 7th, so you should bring some toiletries if you stop by to help support the people in need.

Next week, they will be open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30-11:30 a.m. and on Saturday from 8-12 a.m. If you have time to go, you should — I highly recommend it. The people who work there are very nice, the food and drinks are delicious and most importantly, when you buy from them, you are able to support their food truck and the organizations they are raising money for.

If I were to recommend anything from there, it would have to be the pastries and savory snacks which they rotate every day. If you want more from Soul Good Coffee, they will be at the Skokie Farmer’s Market, so make sure to go show support for them as all the money is going back into a good cause.
