The summit is closed with empowering speeches from organizers.

A circle is formed around dancers by a crowd while music booms through the field house.

With the event coming to a close, students and organizers alike gather together to dance.

Lunch is served in the latter half of the event, with delicious food such as mac and cheese, jambalaya and chicken.

A replica sculpture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa is painted by students.

Students mix paint in trays to help paint a sculpture.

Sheets were laid out to explain the properties of hair with different porosities and the products that can be used on them.

Students test the porosity of their hair by dropping a strand of it into a small dish of water.

Students applaud speakers following their speeches.

Other speakers focus on topics such as the power that a closely-knit community can use for change.

With pen and paper in hand, students fill out worksheets to guide them through different lessons.

Event organizers are interviewed about their role in and thoughts on the summit.

Students are led through exercises held by speakers to help understand different lessons such as self love, empowerment, and understanding.

Dr. Michael Allen leads the audience through a short mindfulness exercise.

After breakfast, the event opened up with a short performance from student dancers.

The DJ for the Black Teen Summit plays alongside a song with live drums.
