Although freshman Bianca Erturk has just started high school, she’s very excited about it. Coming into high school she was scared of getting lost but she eventually found her way around. “It’s a bigger school, and with more freedom comes more responsibility” Erturk says.
Bianca’s older sister and cousins also attend Niles West which made the transition to high school more comfortable for her, because before she came into high school she was a little afraid of the upperclassmen. However, she felt people were nicer to her because they knew her relatives.
Bianca’s favorite class is Biology because she enjoys learning about the subject and her cousin is in the class as well.
Although she feels like high school is a lot more of a work load, the freshman is very excited for softball season and plans on trying out.
She’s also looking forward to the football games and homecoming.
