As we start to set our alarms for 6:30 A.M, scramble from class to class dreaming of the beach, and race to the IRC to ensure a spot during study hall, we also get to start thinking of all the wonderful things this school year has in store for us. As the editor in chief of  Niles West News, I want to personally to welcome you all back!

In the next upcoming weeks we have a lot to look forward to: Activities Fair, Homecoming, the first school play, and much more. Before all the fun begins, however, we have to get back into the groove for school. This week should include things from memorizing your new schedule and locker combo, to introducing yourself to a new face.

With that being said, the NWN wants to personally welcome all the freshmen joining us. We are excited about having you here, and hope your transition from middle school to high school is everything you hoped of and more. Don’t worry, there will be no penny throwing or pushing into lockers — those are only rumors!
